According to a report in the Guardian, by Jillian Ambrose (check out full report here), half a million UK homes could be put into poverty by full rises. Some reports claim that up to 3m UK household could be put into fuel poverty this year.
It also stated that government faces calls to introduce a Social tariff to help out people struggling to pay their energy bills.
It also stated that Ofgem is expected to raise prices for up to 15m homes by using a default duel fuel energy tariff to the tune of around £150 a year.
This is not a welcome news for people who are already struggling in paying their gas and electric bills.
