Here are 4 benefits and assistance which are available from the government.
1. Winter Fuel Payments
If you were born before 26 September 1955 you might be able to claim Winter Fuel Payments. This is a payment from £100 to £300 pound which the government gives you to help towards your heating bills. 2. Cold Weather Payments
If you are on certain benefits (not all benefits), you will receive payment of £25 for every consecutive 7 days that the temperature is recorded below zero, or forecasted to be below zero in your local area.

3. Warm Home Discount Scheme
The government gives you £140 off your electricity bill under the Warm Home Discount Scheme, if you qualify. So, you could qualify for this scheme in the winter. The starting date for the scheme is 18th October 2021.

4. Green Homes Grant
