EE offers mobile and gadget insurance to customers who buy a mobile or a gadget with them online or in an EE store.
If you bought a new phone, gadget or upgraded, but did not take out a insurance cover. Then you can do it over the telephone.
If you are purchasing a mobile phone or a gadget from EE, you might be thinking about buying a insurance cover. You might also be wondering whether to buy the insurance from EE or go elsewhere.
We take a look at EE’s Mobile and Gadget Insurance to help you decided. EE does two insurance covers that you can purchase, the Full Cover and the Damage Cover.
Full Cover
The Full Cover costs from £4.80p a month. Here are some of the main things that are included with the Full Cover.

Damage Cover

Multi Policy Discount
If you have two or more devices on the same account and you would like to take out a Full or a Damage Cover, then EE will give you a 10% discount.
Business Insurance
EE also provides discounts for Business Insurance. If you have between 2 – 9 devices on the same account, you will get a 10% discount each month.
If you have between 10 and 19 devices on the same account, you will get a 15% discount each month on your cover.
If you have more than 20 devices on the same account then you will get a massive 20% discount each month on your cover.
iPhone Cover
You can purchase a Full or Damage Cover from AppleCare Services via EE.
If you buy and Apple product from EE, you might want to have it insured with AppleCare Services instead.
It is much more expensive, the Full Cover starts from £9.49p and the Damage Cover starts from £5.99p.
How To Make a Claim
You can make a claim online 24/7, through your My EE account.
If you prefer to talk to them instead, then you can call 150 from a EE mobile phone or telephone 07953 966 250 from a non EE mobile phone.
If you are unable to reach them, you can call into any of their stores, however, they do not process claims in the stores.
Do You Need An Insurance Policy For Your Phone Or Gadget?
You have to decided if you need an insurance policy for your phone or gadget. Here are some things to take into consideration.
Is it cost effective? If you phone is costs less than £100, is it worth paying insurance for it. As, at £4.80p per month for Full Cover, you’d be paying half the price of the phone in a year.
Can you afford the monthly costs? Are you able to keep up the monthly payments?
Do you need to get cover for the phone or gadget because it is expensive or essential to your needs and you don’t have the budget to replace it.
If you are paying a lot of money for your phone or gadget, it might be worth getting it insured.
Is It Any Good?
EE Phone and Gadget Cover does give you good cover at a competitive price. And, they give you additional accessories for free.
If you buy your phone or gadget from EE, then it might be a good idea to insurance it with the same company.
