Q: Can you get it delivered faster?

There is same day delivery available, this is an in-store option. You will have to check with your local store. They might be able to do same day delivery depending on if the product is in stock and where it has to be delivered to.

Normal online parcel delivery, is between 1-3 days. However, this time duration is not for larger items. Larger items deliveries can take from 4 – 30 days. This is called Selected day Delivery.

For quick delivery of larger items, you have to select the Express Delivery option at the checkout. With the Express Delivery option, your larger items will be delivered within 1-3 days.

Q: Is it possible to change me delivery date?

For parcels delivered by DPD: For parcel delivery, DPD will contact you a day before your delivery date and give you options. You will be able to change your delivery date, or have it delivered to a neighbour or arrange to have it delivered somewhere safe at the delivery address. You can also have it dropped off at your local IKEA store or collect it from a DPD site.

Large deliveries: The delivery date for the large deliveries are the earliest dates available, given to you by IKEA. If you want to change the delivery date that was given to you, it might be possible for you to change it for a later delivery date. This will depend on the status of your delivery.

If you want to change your delivery date, IKEA recommends that it is best to do it within 48 of ordering, as it could be too late to change it after this.

If you have already made an order and would like to change your delivery date, you can do this by logging into your IKEA account and going to My order.

Q: Can I track my order?

Orders placed in-store

If you have placed a delivery in-store at the IKEA home delivery desk, you will receive a text a day before your delivery date so you can track it as it comes to you. And on the day of the delivery, you will get a text or a call when your delivery is an hour away from being delivered

Orders placed online

Check your order confirmation email so that you can confirm what type of delivery you are having. If your order has been split for any reason, you will receive two separate deliveries.

Parcel deliveries: A day before your order is going to be delivered, you will receive a text message (or email, if you did not provide a telephone number). This will give you options if you or somebody will not be at home on the planned delivery date to receive it.

As an example, you will be able to have it delivered to your neighbour or your local post office. On the actual day of the delivery, you will receive a tracking number and an hour time slot when it will be delivered.

Large deliveries: If you have given IKEA your mobile number during the checkout, you will receive texts from IKEA, giving you more information about your delivery. They will also provide you with your personal tracking link.
